2018 Christmas Light Parade
This year's Light Parade theme was "Christmas in Toyland" and GRICUA won the Governor's Award for best presentation of the theme!! We would like to thank all of our parade volunteers and participants. Our float took weeks to prepare and we'd like to give a special shout out to Kurt Polingyowma, Conrad EagleBull, Jaina Brown, Jessica Soliz, Martha Cons, Jasmine Martinez, Anita Diesen (a light parade "newbie") and our former Interns and WYT Students who attended. The GRICUA truck was driven by our very own Trevor Thompson, who earned his CDL license earlier this year.
Casa Blanca Road Transmission Project
The Casa Blanca Road Transmission Project is progressing as scheduled. New poles have been set between Power Line Road and AZ-347. The crew is currently working in the right of way with no influence on traffic. When it becomes necessary to control traffic, motorists can expect brief delays for their own safety and the safety of the crews. When necessary, GRICUA will implement a professionally prepared traffic control plan using GRICUA employees as supervisors and we are now hiring Traffic Control Flaggers. The location of specific construction areas will be available at the District 5 Community Center, and on the GRICUA Facebook and website. Drivers can use Nelson Road to avoid traffic delays.
